Submit a Standard Sample If Possible

Our tests are normally performed using two standard mouth-swabbed samples. Not only is this the easiest way to collect, there's also a higher chance of collecting a good sample.

Non-Standard Samples

If you are unable to submit a standard sample, we have had success in obtaining DNA from various sources. You do run the risk, however, of the non-standard sample failing for unexplained reasons.

Examples of Non-Standard Samples

Please consult the following list for ideas of what you can send.

Disclaimer: Although the items listed are good examples, we cannot guarantee there will be a usable DNA sample on a non-standard item.
Amniotic Fluid Cups / Bottles Feminine Hygiene Razors
Bandaid (Used) Dental Floss Fingernails Tissue
Chewing Gum Earwax Hair (With Root) Toothbrush
Cigarette Butt Electric Razor Hat (Well Worn) Toothpick
Condom (Used) Envelope / Stamp Pacifier Underwear

These are example submissions. If you have something else to submit, and unsure if it will work, please Contact Us.

Choose the Best Sample

When considering a non-standard sample, please keep the following points in mind:

  • One (1) Non-Standard sample increases the price of your test by $75.
  • If there is no usable DNA on the item, to resend another non-standard sample will cost $125. That includes $75 for the non-standard sample and $50 for replacing a sample.
  • Choose the best possible sample the first time. If you have multiple non-standard samples, only send the one you want processed.
