Terms and Conditions for Online Orders

1. New York Residents

   We do not currently sell our DNA tests to residents from New York. GFI Lab will not take legal responsibility for users who circumvent this restriction.

2. Website Accuracy

   Although we do our best to ensure information is both accurate and current, we reserve the right to make changes where appropriate. In the event of error, or change, that effects an ongoing order, we will contact you with options to continue or receive a partial, or full, refund.

3. Obtaining a Chain of Custody

   Because orders are collected at home, without the supervision of a qualified third-party, we cannot verify a chain of custody. Due to the lack of a chain of custody, your results may not be admissible in a court of law.

4. Unusable Results

   Unusable results exist in a small percentage of our cases. If we determine there is a problem with your sample, we may ask for a replacement sample. Additional fees may apply. If you are required to purchase a replacement profile, you will need to purchase an order for only the additional person. We will attempt to retest, but cannot guarantee the success of the additional sample(s).

5. Statement of Consent

   The following statement applies to all samples submitted to our laboratory:

   I hereby consent to the collection, preservation and testing of the stated specimens for DNA analysis and family relationship comparison. I also certify that the above information is true and correct and that the specimen(s) were collected from the stated individuals, and that the stated individuals have knowingly agreed to provide these specimens. I acknowledge that I am responsible and liable for any legal costs associated with a contest of the information provided by any and all parties and that any deviation from the truth in the information stated may constitute fraud.
